Legal Transcription (CET Prep)
Course Access: 365 days / Equipment Requirements: PC-based computer with Windows 8.1 or better, MS Word (Microsoft Word 2016, 2019, and Office 365), Express Scribe Professional software, an Infinity USB-2 Foot Pedal, and headphones.
This 80-hour course is designed to be taken by a person wishing to become certified through AAERT as a legal transcriptionist.
Individuals taking this course will learn about the court system, legal procedure, terminology, ethics, professionalism, confidentiality.
Students will gain the knowledge to format, transcribe, and proofread legal transcripts for correct grammar, punctuation, and word usage.
